High speed advertising photography

Following a recent purchase of a new high-speed Broncolor flash kit, I couldn't wait to get to work on a new creative drinks photography piece. The brief was to create two dynamic advertising product shots with liquids and splashes. Delivering this advertising style with liquids requires a combination of creative thinking and technical precision - not to mention, impeccable timing

Since the shoot was taking place in the London studio, preparation was key: it would take several attempts to get just the right amount of splash, and equally, a lot of water, so protecting the equipment was the number one priority.  With the studio and kit encased in plastic sheeting, I then focused on capturing the high-speed shots which would ultimately complete the final image. 

Utilising the high speed flash duration of the Broncolor kit I was able to capture high-speed shots of water splashing onto the glass bottle and reflective surface, and then combine several shots together using digital post production techniques.  The result is a very dynamic product shot synonymous with high-end advertising photography.
