Beautiful diamonds, precious metals and eye-catching designs are what Hatton Garden jewellery designer Sarah Ho is known for. When asked to shoot her latest Numerati collection, and working within the theme of simplicity and elegance, I decided to make the main focus the diamonds and precious metals in this collection of rings, earrings and pendants, I've also included a few examples of the jewellery packshots on white and, in a later post, I'll showcase them on models.

This midweek product photography post is to showcase a creative christmas still life image. I was approached to produce a creative still life photograph to be published on the front cover of this years christmas gift guide.
Packshot photography suitable for large scale prints.
Not the most creative packshots i have ever done but possible some of the biggest. A large product shot for in-store display. Measuring over 2 and half meters long. With such a massive print its was imperative the products were photographed using a very high resolution camera and are technically perfect.

As you might of guessed from previous posts some of my favourite products to photograph are cosmetics and perfume products. Below are a few examples of product photography for one of my regular clients.
Cosmetic Creative Photography perfumes on blocks
A creative product packshot for a magazine and other marketing platforms. I was approached to provide some creative product photography using the latest "must buy" cosmetics. The main reason for the photography was to create advertising images for use in their latest christmas magazine. A few images would also be used across Instagram and other web marketing platforms. Something i have noticed over the last few years is an large increase in business using professional photography to create product photography to be used online in this way. A simple but eye catching image on social media can reach thousands of potential clients in a matter of seconds and can be allot cheaper than a large campaign.
Advertising Drinks Product Photography
Some clients come to me with the exact idea of what they require, others ask me to create the whole concept from start to finish. The following product photography was definitely the former. The client had previous images from a photoshoot last year, my job was to replicate the packshots exactly, ensuring the images had space for text and the final Still Life packshot would follow the brief. I was provided with a template which i used as guideline when placing the product. Each packshot required space around the final images so it could be wrapped around the square packaging box.
Still life products & festive collections
Still Life product imagery that have been used over the festive period in magazines, gift guides and other publications. More often than not my work can not be showcased case until it has been officially published, sometimes this can be months after the creative photography was taken and in some cases the first i am aware of its publication is when i see the image in print.
