Jewellery Photography in London Locations

With covid restrictions hitting the hospitality sector really hard, some hotels, restaurants and bars have been looking for innovative ways to remain open. This has meant certain locations usually impossible to get into have opened their doors to photography and production crews. The sort of places that would normally be too packed with guests have been put to great use with our small, covid-safe crew. Here is a showcase of some the locations we’ve shot in over the last few months:

Even with the best-laid plans, there are some variables out of the photographer’s control when shooting on location such as the weather (especially if shooting outside). It’s important to be able to adjust as different situations and challenges as they present themselves. This approach is different to the usual still life studio shoot which is 99% under the control of the photographer. The following shot locations include the Bloomsbury hotel, The Elgin Pub in Maida Vale and a beautiful georgian manor house.

It’s not always possible to complete a reccy prior to the shoot - especially in current circumstances - so when shooting on location it’s important to have the right equipment to adjust to the situation! That’s why I like to travel with quite a lot of different kit so I can match to the lighting or environment. Below are a few more locations including a new wine bar in an unusual location and lifestyle shot with a large diamond ring.

I enjoy shooting in different and unique locations as well photographing in my controlled studio environment. Sometimes it’s easier to shoot at a location instead of creating a set build and visa versa, it all depends on the job, the breif and sometimes the budget.
