Fashion accessories, still life and jewellery
Print media demands the highest quality imagery in a large resolution format which retains detail and rendition somehow lost on the average computer screen. So, of course, I was thrilled to see my work feature in two recent publications, printed on high density magazine paper. Both publications for luxury brands Waldorf Astoria and Conrad feature still life compositions of fashion products, jewellery and accessories.
Still Life Cosmetics on location in London
When creating still life product photography on location, I often use two main methods to achieve a particular look and style: one method is to source materials to create the required scene, e.g. a set build; and the other is to find a location which already has a particular style, which I can tailor to suit the brief. blog features creative jewellery photography for a well know London jewellery company, offering stunning collections of handmade fine and designer jewellery. The peices i photographed included intricate charms and luxuary earings, demanding high quality jewelery photography. The style and colour palette are based around the final design brief and the shoot was created around for a valentines theme.

As the new lines are being finalised, the requirement for new look book and editorial fashion photography is pivotal to the success of the brand. In a previous role as fashion photography manager at Selfridges I was privileged to work and collaborate with some fantastic names within the fashion industry.

Creating high end packshots for various jewellery companies is a large part of being a still life product photographer. Although i am mainly approached to create still life collections, the individual jewellery packshots are still a favourite and regular part of what i do in the London studio. This midweek product photography post is to showcase a creative christmas still life image. I was approached to produce a creative still life photograph to be published on the front cover of this years christmas gift guide.
Packshot photography suitable for large scale prints.
Not the most creative packshots i have ever done but possible some of the biggest. A large product shot for in-store display. Measuring over 2 and half meters long. With such a massive print its was imperative the products were photographed using a very high resolution camera and are technically perfect.

My second creative product photography blog is to showcase some furniture in a lifestyle environment for a large home and lifestyle retailer. The advertising product photography was to be used in catalogue, magazines and online.
Cosmetic Creative Photography perfumes on blocks
A creative product packshot for a magazine and other marketing platforms. I was approached to provide some creative product photography using the latest "must buy" cosmetics. The main reason for the photography was to create advertising images for use in their latest christmas magazine. A few images would also be used across Instagram and other web marketing platforms. Something i have noticed over the last few years is an large increase in business using professional photography to create product photography to be used online in this way. A simple but eye catching image on social media can reach thousands of potential clients in a matter of seconds and can be allot cheaper than a large campaign.
Still life products & festive collections
Still Life product imagery that have been used over the festive period in magazines, gift guides and other publications. More often than not my work can not be showcased case until it has been officially published, sometimes this can be months after the creative photography was taken and in some cases the first i am aware of its publication is when i see the image in print.
